The Estes 1/2A3‑2T engine is a single-stage mini engine designed specifically for lightweight model rockets, especially those built on BT-5 (13 mm) airframes. Ideal for backyard launches or small-field use, this engine delivers a dependable lift-off experience for smaller, beginner rockets. Each pack includes four motors, four igniters, and four starter plugs—ready for multiple launches right out of the box.

Offering a total impulse of 1.25 N‑s, peak thrust of approximately 8.3 N (1.9 lb), and a short thrust duration of 0.30 s, the 1/2A3‑2T provides a quick and spirited liftoff without overtaxing lightweight models. Following burnout, a 2-second delay gives your rocket time to coast to apogee before deploying its recovery system, minimizing stress on both rocket and engine.
