Overview

It’s hard to find easy-to-build and fly Beginner rockets with truly unique characteristics. That’s what makes the solo stand out on its own! It can fly up to 500 ft. before breaking apart and returning to the ground.

The Solo Beginner Model Rocket features a breakaway pod that glides to the ground, dancing through the sky during recovery, utilizing the wind and thermals to float gently to the ground. The main body of the solo comes down under parachute to touch down safely. At apogee, when the rocket reaches the peak of its flight, the pod can slide freely forward, dislodging itself from the rocket.

The main body of Solo beginner model rocket utilizes a 15 in. parachute and stands more than 2 ft. tall! Experience the flight of the Solo for yourself.

  • The Solo rocket is easy to assemble, making it perfect for beginners who are just starting out in model rocketry.

  • The breakaway pod is a unique feature that sets this rocket apart from other Beginner models on the market.

  • With a maximum altitude of 500 ft., the Solo rocket provides an exciting and thrilling flight experience.

  • The rocket is more than 2 ft. tall, making it an impressive addition to any model rocket collection.

  • The use of a 15 in. parachute for the main body of the rocket ensures a safe and gentle descent back to the ground.

  • The breakaway pod utilizes wind and thermals to float gently to the ground, providing a visually stunning recovery experience.

  • The Solo rocket is a great way to introduce young people to the world of model rocketry. Additionally, it's a great way to encourage them to explore and learn about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts.

Solo is a Great performer!

This is a great rocket that always performs well. I was skeptical until I saw it fly at a club launch. Loved it and bought one for my grandson. Easy to build and reliable in flight. Rocket goes up, drops off the glider and parachutes back down. Depending on the wind conditions, the glider typically makes big descending loops around and around until it reaches the ground. Often it circles the rocket under the parachute. It’s always a crowd pleaser. Boost gliders can be tricky to make work right, but Estes has this one trimmed out to perfection. Great introduction to that side of rocketry.

Solo Rocket

I did not care for this rocket at all.
I have the your New Shepard Rocket and nothing can compare to it.
