The pictures of this kit simply don't do it justice. It is actually quite a large model rocket, and the "fins" are more impressive once built than can be communicated in a simple picture. The 3 dimensional structure of them, and the "greeblies", is quite imaginative and really sparks the imagination in terms of interstellar travel and "who's out there". If one has seen Disney's The Black Hole, this kit might remind you of that ship's construction.
Building suggestion (which I didn't figure out until after building the kit): make some temporary supports to rest the main fin sidewalls against in a few spots while gluing up the main fin joints so they will retain the proper angle while drying. If I had the kit to do over again, that would be the only thing I would change in my construction method.
